Frank(ly) Miller sucks!

Before i let loose the barrage of insults against the aforementioned person,allow me to tell you about this famous personality's achievements.For all you people who have not heard of Frank Miller -Yikes!!Whats wrong with you??Just kidding.Frank Miller is a famous comic book/graphic novel writer whose long list includes the very famous(or infamous.You take your pick) Sin City novels.I am sure most of you are raving about the film that got made recently which was an adoption of the aforementioned comics.Now i am guessing but you probably havn't read the original graphic novels.I have and when i was reading them i found a disturbing trend in every story.I call it Miller's 3 rules for success.Swearing,Bloody violence and lots of nipple shots.Whats the problem with that you ask?When i read The novels i thought "Allright,this is the style of this series.It will be different later on".Then i read his take on Robocop.Again the same pattern.It was as if he thought that the people reading it will grow up into beer guzzling morons of the middle class so he believes he has got it made.Well all this was ok.And on top of that he had written the novel The Dark Knight Returns.This novel, although had more violence in it than many a summer action film was not a bad read at all.So what was the last straw??DC has released a new series called All Star Batman And Robin, The Boy Wonder Written by Mr Miller and sketched by the wonderfull Jim Lee.Naturally i was excited.The concept behind it was like a star studded adventure of Batman and Robin.Mr Miller said his story would be "full of babes.".Quite the intellectual isnt he??here are some more names of his books - Booze, Broads and Bullets.Babe Wore Red and Other Storiesetc.I am sure there are many people who just go ga ga over his work.Dont get me wrong,he has done a wide variety of work which is interesting.But the quality is quite questionable.In the All Star Batman And Robin, The Boy Wonder comics he has Batman slapping robin now and then,mouthing one liners like "Are you retarded kid??I am the goddamn Batman.I will put you through holy hell.Holy hell or the next best thing."For a moment i didnt know if i was watching Vin Diesel or reading a Batman comic.And man do i despise Mr diesel.Never thought i would have to think of Batman and Mr diesel in the same sentence ever in my life.But Mr Miller's "genius" made it a bitter reality.The comics even has a full 2 pages of ass shot and cleavage merely in the name of character introduction.I hope Jim lee doesnt shoot himself after this little abortion of a work.I like that guys artwork.Mr Miller may be many things but an imaginative writer he aint.He isnt in the same league as Alan Moore,Daniel Clowes,Shirow Masamune,Mike Mignola,Alex Ross and of course the great Katsuhiro Otomo.Anyway,enough name calling.So here goes- Mr Miller you suck.If i ever meet you in real life i will slap you out of this planet for trying to taint Batman.Pray to satan i dont meet you.I am sure my friends are thinking "what can be expected from Tamal?He hates everything!"So i decided to end this post with something positve.Another comic book story.Its called Batman: Jekyll and Hyde.Written by Paul Jenkins and Artwork by Jae Lee, this storyline follows quite possibly the most dangerous encounter between Batman and Two face.All i can say is that this story has become one of my favourite comic books of all time.The dark,gritty and dangerous world of Batman has seldom looked so real and all consuming.I doubt there will be any comments to this post of mine so i aint gonna bother you with any reply requests.But seeing as this is my last post of this year,allow me to wish all of you a very happy and prosperous year ahead.Made any New Year's resolution yet?
