Mixed feelings

I start my first post for this year with a news from the film world.I am sure most of the people who actually care to read my blog have read Life of Pi,the Winner of the Man Booker Prize 2002 written by Yann Martel.Well, last year around June our very own M Night Shyamalan had bought the rights to make it into a film.Needless to say i was not very happy with that.I absolutely loved reading Pi and didnt want to see it it being made by Shyamalan or by anyone else for that matter.But last week Joblo and other movie forums have come up with a confirmed news which left me wondering what to think(Yes,i know,this happens to me a LOT!).Jean-Pierre Juenet has confirmed that he is making Life of Pi.In case you dont know who he is,then his film credits include Amelie,A very long engagement and has even co-directed City of lost children.Quite frankly this announcement had left me in the middle.Dont know whether i should be excited or unhappy.Your thoughts??
