I am back
Well, last week was an interesting experience as a whole. I wrapped up shooting for my short film (you know,it feels real nice to say it) and that experience was an education in itself. Man, was it hectic(I had slept exaclty 4 hours in 3 and a half days) . I believe the only words that were going through my brain when I reached home were these-
Must...find..b-bed......Need..sleep.Food.Feed me now!
Yes,that was me indeed.Sounding like a zombie from Warlords Battlecry. Anyway, now that two days have passed,I can safely say-i am STILL very tired. The physical activity isnt what took the wind out of me. The mental stress was quite a lot. Anyway,as I was saying, the shoot was hectic, but it was so much fun. I can't possibly put down in words what it feels to be making one's own film. Mind you,I am not trying to talk about the quality of work being done (which is crappy to say the least),I am merely talking about the rush you feel when doing something you love. Hopefully I will learn from my mistakes and get better at this. The one other thing I learnt the hard way was not to depend on anyone to do their job. Although most of my crew did their bit but a few key workers did not show up at the crucial time which almost stalled my shoot. Water under the bridge,as they say. Now I know better.
Around ten days from now,I start editing my film. So till then I am going to try and relax a little. Note the words "try and relax" in the previous sentence. Which means I will pretend to relax while having endless nightmares about how many ways I will screw up my editing.
